Each of our Highland coos has a unique personality that makes every visit special:


  • Moofy - Our independent matriarch who enjoys treats from a respectful distance. She'll teach you about honoring boundaries and the beauty of quiet presence.
  • Mootilda - Moofy's affectionate daughter and the star of the show! This friendly, cuddly girl loves food, adores being brushed, and will steal your heart with her gentle nature.
  • Mickey D - Our curious young calf who's still learning about people. Inquisitive and full of character, he adds playful energy to every encounter.

Pony Pals Program

Where little hands meet big hearts

A Non-Riding Program Focused on Connection and Care

Pony Pals is a unique hands-on program where children aged 5-12 discover the joy of horses through meaningful connection, not riding. Set on our peaceful 6-acre boutique farm in the Noosa hinterland, children learn the fundamentals of horse care, responsibility, empathy, and confidence while building special bonds with our gentle mini Shetlands.

This is foundation learning about horses for young kids—teaching them the essentials of horsemanship from the ground up.

Led by a certified equine assisted therapy practitioner with a Working with Children Blue Card, every session is designed to nurture kindness, courage, and a lifelong love of horses in a safe, supportive environment.

Barbie & Sonny

Our patient mini Shetland ponies who love children and are perfectly sized for young learners. Their gentle nature makes them ideal teachers for children taking their first steps into the world of horses.

Ernie

For taller children, we may introduce Ernie, our friendly PRE Andalusian horse who's a wonderful helper in teaching horsemanship skills.

Full-Day Farm Adventures | 9:00am - 3:00pm


When school's out, the farm comes alive! Our Hoof & Moo Crew school holiday program gives children aged 5-12 the chance to experience real farm life through hands-on animal care, outdoor adventures, and meaningful connections with our horses, highland coos, and chickens.

This isn't just a day at the farm—it's a day as part of the Bexland farm crew.


What Your Child Will Experience

Morning with the Horses

Start the day like a real farm hand! Children will learn morning horse care routines including grooming, feeding, and understanding what horses need to thrive. They'll practise leading exercises and navigate fun obstacle courses with our gentle horses, building confidence and communication skills.

Highland Coo Encounters

Meet Moofy, Mootilda, and Mickey D—our fluffy highland family! Kids will learn about these magnificent Scottish Coos, help with their care, and discover why they're so special. Brushing time with Mootilda is always a highlight!

Chicken Care & Farm Chores

Get hands-on with daily farm tasks! From collecting eggs to feeding the chickens, children will learn what it really takes to care for a working farm and why every job matters.

Educational Activities

Through interactive learning, kids will discover:

  • Animal behaviour and body language
  • Animal welfare and what makes animals happy and healthy
  • How different farm animals communicate
  • The importance of routine and responsibility in animal care

Games, Activities & Teamwork

Farm-themed games and group activities that build confidence, problem-solving skills, and friendships. Every day includes plenty of fun, laughter, and outdoor play!
