The Cavoodle who identifies as Human 

Meet Harley, Bexland's confident cavoodle leader who has yet to realize he's actually a dog. This self-assured little character truly believes he runs the farm - Harley doesn't do "dog things" like sleeping in dog beds or eating from bowls on the floor. Why would he, when there are couches to claim and important farm operations to oversee?

With his expressive eyes and natural authority, Harley greets every visitor, supervises daily activities, and offers his expert opinion on everything (whether asked for or not!). His conviction that he's one of us is absolutely unshakeable, and his enthusiasm for farm management is unmatched. 

The Independent Matriarch

Meet Moofy, our elegant Highland cow matriarch who knows exactly what she wants - and what she doesn't! This independent lady enjoys treats from a respectful distance and prefers to keep her personal space, thank you very much. Moofy teaches us an important lesson: boundaries matter, and not everyone needs to be cuddly to be loved. Her dignified presence and calm confidence set the tone for our Highland herd. She's the perfect reminder that connection comes in many forms, and sometimes the most powerful relationships are built on mutual respect rather than physical touch.

The Sweetheart

Mootilda is everything you dream a Highland cow could be - friendly, affectionate, and utterly irresistible. This cuddly girl adores food (who doesn't?), loves being brushed, and will happily soak up all the attention you can give her. With her gentle nature and photogenic charm, Mootilda has stolen countless hearts and features in more Instagram posts than we can count. She's living proof that some souls are just meant to spread joy and connection wherever they go.

The Curious Calf

Our youngest Highland coo and resident explorer! Mickey D is still learning about people, but his inquisitive nature means he's always watching, always wondering, and always adding his own playful energy to every encounter. This curious young calf keeps everyone entertained with his antics and bold personality. While he's still figuring out this whole "human interaction" thing, Mickey D's character and charm shine through. He reminds us that growth takes time, curiosity is a gift, and sometimes the best moments come from simply observing and being present.

The Gentle Giant

Standing tall at 18.1hh, Rio is our majestic warmblood with the softest heart on the farm. This gentle giant wears his emotions on his sleeve - you'll always know exactly how he's feeling. Despite his impressive size, Rio is kind, patient, and loves nothing more than a good scratch and quality time with people. His calm, sensitive nature makes him perfect for our equine programs where authenticity and connection matter most.

The Lovable Character

Meet Ernie, our 2014-born PRE gelding and resident character of Bexland. This lovable Andalusian is... let's say, delightfully goofy! Ernie marches to the beat of his own drum with an endearing quirkiness that makes everyone smile. But don't let his silly antics fool you - when it comes to our corporate team building sessions, Ernie has an incredible gift for reading people and providing honest, gentle feedback. His unique personality and intuitive nature help teams discover insights about communication and authenticity. Ernie proves that being yourself - quirks and all - is exactly what makes you special.

The Matriarch

Meet Donata, our elegant 18hh warmblood mare, proud mother of Maximus, and valued member of our corporate team building programs. This statuesque beauty combines grace with maternal wisdom and an intuitive understanding of human energy. Donata's calm confidence, gentle nature, and ability to provide honest feedback make her perfect for helping teams develop communication and emotional intelligence. Whether she's working with corporate groups or keeping a watchful eye over the herd, Donata's steady, reliable presence is exactly what everyone needs.

The Graceful Andalusian

Born in 2018, Milly is our elegant PRE (Pura Raza Española) mare who embodies the beauty and spirit of her Andalusian heritage. Having recently begun her ridden career, this graceful girl is blossoming into her potential. Milly is an absolute sweetheart who melts for a good scratch - she'll happily stand for hours soaking up attention. As the mother of BXL Armada, Milly carries a tender story of love and loss that has shaped her gentle, resilient nature. Her journey is just beginning, and we're honored to be part of it.

The Mini Shetland Dream Team

Our adorable mini Shetland ponies are the heart and soul of our Pony Pals programs! Barbie and Sonny are perfectly sized for little hands and big hearts. These two pint-sized characters teach children about responsibility, gentle handling, and the joy of connecting with animals. Patient, friendly, and full of personality, Barbie and Sonny make every child feel like a confident horse handler. Their small stature and big hearts create the perfect introduction to the world of horses for kids aged 5-10.

The Cheeky Yearling

Our youngest herd member and resident troublemaker! Maximus is the cheekiest guy on the block - curious, playful, and always investigating something new. This inquisitive yearling keeps everyone on their toes with his antics and boundless energy. As Donata's son, he's learning the ropes of farm life while adding plenty of entertainment and laughter to every day at Bexland. Watch out - he's a charmer!

Our Angel - RIP

Armada came into this world in 2024 as Milly's precious daughter, but her journey was different from the start. Diagnosed with brain damage by the specialists at UQ Gatton, our beautiful girl faced challenges no foal should have to endure. For nine months, Armada taught us about courage, resilience, and unconditional love. She showed us that every life has purpose and meaning, no matter how brief. Though she's no longer with us, Armada's spirit lives on at Bexland - in the way we care for every animal, in Milly's gentle strength, and in our commitment to honoring the bond between horses and humans. She will forever be part of our story.

Grayson & The Girls

Meet Grayson (affectionately known as "Roo Roo"), our handsome Araucana rooster and undisputed leader of the flock. With his striking plumage and proud strut, this gentleman keeps watch over his girls - Chicken, Chooka, Blackie, Henny, and Penny. Blackie, our beautiful Araucana hen, lays stunning blue eggs that delight visitors, while Chicken, Chooka, Henny, and Penny are our reliable Hyline girls providing fresh eggs and endless entertainment. Together, this feathered family teaches our Pony Pals participants about responsibility, animal care, and where food really comes from. They're proof that even the smallest farm residents have big personalities and important jobs to do!

Big Red isn't your typical farm resident.  He doesn't eat, sleep, or need grooming - but he's every bit as much a part of the Bexland family. This magnificent steel horse sculpture was commissioned by Bexland and created by renowned Australian sculptor Colleen Lavender of Colchameleon Design.

Big Red stands as a guardian of our property, a tribute to the equine spirit, and a reminder that art and horses both have the power to move us.
